Cranial Facial Release (cfr)

Cranial Facial Release (CFR) is an advanced form of balloon assisted endonasal cranial adjusting. CFR incorporates the use of tiny balloons that are carefully inserted in the nose, more specifically the nasopharyngeal cavity. The balloons are quickly inflated to open the breathing passageways as well as unlock and mobilize the bones of the face and cranium. This mobilization is accomplished by targeting the sphenoid-palatine suture. CFR targets the upper airway, not the lower airway.

Conditions that respond favorably to CFR:

1. Breathing problems due to UPPER AIRWAY obstruction
2. Snoring due to upper airway
3. Sleep apnea due to upper airway
4. Head Trauma (concussion, nose/face trauma)
5. Migraine headaches that do not respond to chiropractic adjustments
6. Sinusitis
7. Deviated Septum
8. Tinnitus
9. Vertigo
10. Bell’s Palsy
11. Trigeminal Neuralgia
12. Seizures

Primary Objectives of CFR:

1. Open breathing passageways for increase of O2 to the brain.
2. Mobilize cranial bones and unlock cranial fixations (sutural corrections).
3. Correct cranial distortion and aberrations.
4. Remove dural torque and facilitate cerebral spinal fluid flow.
5. Increase venous drainage via the superior and inferior sagittal sinus.

Contraindications to CFR:

1. Hemophiliacs or patients on blood thinners.
2. Patients with Grade 2 hypertension or higher.
3. Patients who are allergic to latex.
